1. Introduction & Purpose
At La Cucina Italiana (LCI1975), we are committed to conducting our business in a responsible, ethical, and sustainable manner.
This Code of Conduct defines the minimum standards we expect from ourselves, our suppliers, and business partners.
We align our practices with internationally recognized standards, including the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct.
2. Compliance with Laws
All partners must comply with applicable national and international laws, regulations, and industry standards in the countries where they operate.
3. Human Rights and Working Conditions
We are committed to respecting internationally recognized human rights, including:
No child labour
No forced or bonded labour
Fair wages and working hours in accordance with law
Freedom of association and collective bargaining
Equal treatment and non-discrimination
All employees must be treated with dignity and respect.
4. Health and Safety
Suppliers must provide a safe, hygienic, and healthy working environment.
Measures must be in place to:
Prevent accidents and injuries
Ensure proper training
Provide necessary protective equipment
5. Food Safety and Quality
All products must comply with relevant EU food safety standards and regulations, including:
HACCP principles
IFS / BRC or equivalent standards
Raw materials must be traceable, documented, and handled responsibly.
6. Environmental Responsibility
We expect our partners to minimize environmental impact by:
Reducing waste and emissions
Using resources efficiently
Complying with environmental regulations
We actively support continuous improvement toward more sustainable practices.
7. Business Ethics
We conduct business with integrity and expect the same from our partners:
Zero tolerance for corruption and bribery
Fair competition
Transparency in business practices
8. Data Protection
All partners must comply with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR where relevant.
9. Supply Chain Responsibility
Suppliers are responsible for ensuring that their own suppliers comply with similar standards.
10. Monitoring and Compliance
We reserve the right to monitor and verify compliance with this Code of Conduct.
This may include:
Self-assessments
Documentation reviews
Audits (where relevant)
Non-compliance may result in corrective actions or termination of cooperation.
11. Reporting Concerns
Partners are encouraged to report any violations of this Code of Conduct.
Reports will be handled confidentially and without retaliation.
